RTM PROCESS (RESIN TRANSFER MOLDING)<\/em><\/h2>\n\n

In this process, the reinforcing material is inserted into the mold first. In a further step, the mold is closed with a counter mold. Liquid resin is then injected under pressure into the closed mold.<\/p>\n\n

Products manufactured using the RTM process<\/strong> have a very high surface quality on both sides. The components have a homogeneous, smooth, highly compacted structure and the best possible mechanical properties. The surface can be further improved by applying a gelcoat to the tool.<\/p>\n\n

ACCENTFORM<\/strong> manufactures special products made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) for industrial and wholesale customers in the automotive sector: from replacement body parts to complex body tuning parts or cladding for commercial vehicles to complete body series<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

The RTM process<\/strong> offers the advantage that the production structure can be broken down into finer sections. This makes it possible to train employees quickly and safely in the individual production steps. This ensures reliable production and high flexibility in the output quantity.<\/p>\n\n

After the necessary trimming process – which is carried out by robots at ACCENTFORM – reinforcement and adaptation parts are glued to the inside of the body parts. To ensure a durable and secure adhesive bond, the KTL-coated metal parts are bonded using a 2K MMA adhesive.<\/p>\n\n

The GRP surfaces up to a size of 2.0 x 3.5 m can be produced extremely economically in quantities of over 250 units per year using the conventional RTM process<\/strong>. Based on the photo gallery and \n our video<\/a>\n<\/strong> you can follow the individual production steps from cutting the glass fiber mat, RTM injection and assembly of the components to delivery of the GRP cladding.<\/p>\n\n
