To get visitors out of the hustle and bustle of a trade fair and offer them the opportunity to take a short break, ThyssenKrupp Uhde GmbH planned a tunnel for the trade fair stand, the interior design of which the client reserved for itself. For ACHEMA 2009, ACCENTFORM was responsible for the stand construction for the GRP tunnel. We produced two GRP tubes as exhibition and design objects.<\/p>\n\n

A waffle-shaped tube approx. 15 m long, approx. 3 m wide and approx. 2.5 m high and another tube approx. 8 m long, approx. 2.5 m wide and approx. 3 m high were used. The objects consisted of milled polystyrene (PS) rigid foam cores in a segmented design and were then encased in GRP. Design according to DIN 4102 in fire protection class B1.<\/p>\n\n

The outer surface was reproduced using a silver-colored paint film applied on site.<\/p>\n\n
