Giant hands at the trade fair stand as a special kind of touch<\/h2>\n\n

AUDI presented its new convertible model in a particularly eye-catching way at the internationally important IAA motor show in Frankfurt 2019: the Audi A5 40 TDI quattro is highlighted by two giant white hands. This staging makes the trade fair stand a special eye-catcher, to which we were able to make our contribution.<\/p>\n\n

On behalf of the company \n Metron eging GmbH<\/a>\n<\/strong> we made the two hands, which are over 5m tall, from GRP. First, the oversized hands were milled out of polystyrene on a five-axis CNC machining center using the CAD files supplied. In order to obtain a hard surface, the polystyrene models were covered with a 3 mm thick GRP layer using the hand laminating process<\/a> <\/strong>by hand laminating. To keep the oversized hands as light as possible, all the polystyrene was then removed from the inside. To create a smooth and even surface, the entire surface must be filled, sanded, filled, sanded and primed. This was followed by a white matt paint finish. The good cooperation with the customer ensured problem-free installation on the customer’s scaffolding.<\/p>\n\n
