Soft foam processing

The newly founded SEAT FORMS department builds on these many years of experience. In cooperation with our in-house plastics technician in the medical field, we supply medical supply stores and orthopaedic mechanics with milled parts from the orthopaedic sector.

We mill for you an individual, very precise and high-quality orthopedic restoration according to your specifications. To do this, we need 3D scan data or a plaster cast from you.

Our experienced, highly qualified team in the field of 3D modeling and CNC mold milling will take care of your request. With our 5-axis milling machines, we offer you high-quality machining of various foams, e.g.:

Frame Foam (white)

Frame Foam is a PU (polyurethane) flexible foam with a density of approx. 32kg/m³.
It is an extremely light and stable material that can be sanded, carved and finely processed very well.

Compression hardness is about 14 kPa at 40% deformation.

Polyester HDH (anthracite)

Polyester HDH is also a flexible foam with a density of approx. 32kg/m³. The physical properties are very similar to frame foam, but mechanically the foam is slightly softer.

Compression hardness is about 11 kPa at 40% deformation.

PU Weichschaum (white)

PU flexible foam (white) is a classic polyurethane foam with a density of approx. 50kg/m³. This foam has a soft and pleasant surface. PU soft foam is often used for reclining shells or hip/leg supports. Some orthopaedic mechanics also use it for the seat shells.

Compression hardness is about 7.5 kPa at 40% deformation.

Polyether B (gray)

Polyether B (grey) is a high-quality flexible PU foam with a density of approx. 75kg/m³. This foam is most often used for a seat or reclining shell for heavier patients. Compressive stress is 40%, deformation is approx. 9.5 [kPa].

Compression hardness is approx. 9.5 kPa at 40% deformation.
