Fiber spraying represents an automation and further development of the laminating process. A mixture of cut fibers (roving) and resin is injected into the open mold using a spray gun. Before the resin hardens, it is compacted and deaerated with a roller, similar to hand laminating.

Fiber spraying is often used in the production of predominantly large-area series parts made of GRP (e.g. boat parts, swimming pools, drip pans, tanks). A major advantage of this technology compared to manual laminate processes is that it involves less manual work and has a high material yield.
