Giant lampshades made of GRP

For an event at the Marriot Hotel in Berlin, ACCENTFORM produced 6 GRP lampshades with a diameter of 1910 mm using hand laminate.

The outside of the lamps is smooth and the inside of the lamp is finished with a glass fiber laminate look in white with topcoat.

The smooth side was painted in the RAL colors signal brown, chrome oxide green, grey blue, sand yellow, brown red and wine red, while the rough side retains its clear surface markings even when painted.

The lampshades were attached to the ceiling using 3 suspension points with eyebolts.

The hand-laminated GRP lampshades have an impressive diameter of 2.5 meters and a thickness of just 4 mm. The laminar material used creates sufficient stability and at the same time preserves the fragile elegance of the objects. With the silver and gold finish, the high-quality impression of the lampshades is significantly enhanced and the lamps themselves are also shown in the right light against the other oversized furniture.
