GRP planters and tree troughs for demanding plantings
We produced these attractive GRP plant troughs for the Federal Garden Show in Koblenz (2011). The hull-like shape of the trough and the small trees planted in it were intended to evoke associations with sailing boats. The flat surface was given a fine-grained, matt, granite-colored stone look by our in-house paint shop.
The troughs are resistant to weathering and UV rays. The troughs are divided vertically at the ends and can be mounted using a screw connection. On the inside, the exhibits have been reinforced so that they can withstand being filled with soil and water.
The plant troughs were then delivered to the Federal Garden Show in Koblenz, where they were admired by young and old alike.
GRP planting ring
For the Alfried Krupp Hospital in Essen, we were commissioned to produce a planting ring made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) for the design of the atrium.
The planting ring was manufactured using the hand lay-up method (hand laminate), has a diameter of 3000 mm and a height of 600 mm. The surface is painted in RAL 9007 gray aluminum. Since delivery, visitors, patients and staff at the Alfried Krupp Hospital in Essen have been enjoying the plant rings.
