Hard & soft foam machining

We mill your ideas into shape!

  • You would like to make your 3D design a reality?
  • You need a three-dimensional object for a unique creative advertising design?
  • You are looking for 3D letters for a decoration?
  • Your customer would like to have his company logo in 3D in the shop window?
  • You are an event organizer and need unusual objects?

Whether architectural models, design models, vehicle parts, etc. We make individual objects to measure according to specifications. We use different types of hard and soft foam for this.

With our 3D milling machines and 2D milling machines, we mill (almost) all shapes from polystyrene, hard foams and soft foams according to your 3D data or drawings. Our CNC 3D portal milling machine has a milling path of X-3,800 mm, Y-2,200 mm, Z-920 mm. Models up to a length of 10 m are machined in one clamping. However, this is not a size limitation for your wishes. Shapes and objects can be produced in almost any size by dividing and later joining.

Styrofoam processing

CNC milling is particularly suitable for large models. With modern high-performance milling centres and innovative CAD/CAM systems, Styrofoam can be machined in different material densities. Depending on customer requirements, a wide variety of foundry models up to 5 m long and 3 m wide can be produced computer-controlled.

Foundry modelling

One of our focal points is the production of foundry patterns for full-mould casting, also known as expost models. This process is used in the production of pressing and punching tools. Moulding tools, trimming tools, transfer tools, press brake tools and punching tools, among others, are cast from our models. But individual pieces are also produced for other industrial sectors using full mould casting.

Hot wire cutting

ACCENTFORM has a CNC-controlled hot wire cutting machine. This enables us to cut 3D objects and contour cuts such as letters, columns and logos from Styrofoam, Styrodur or EPP. With special computer programmes, it is possible to produce any desired shape according to your ideas.

Surface coatings

As a rule, polystyrene and hard foam models are designated for further surface coating by GRP/CFRP using the hand laminate process or special lacquering. We are happy to take on this task and design the surface according to your wishes and colour specifications. On the following page we present some possibilities of surface coating with their advantages and disadvantages.

Soft foam machining

We offer high-quality machining of various foams with our 5-axis milling machines. In cooperation with our in-house plastics technician in the medical field, we supply medical supply stores and orthopaedic mechanics with milled parts from the orthopaedic field.

 Paste – Jointless surfaces

A highly efficient solution here is to paste large-format models and shapes. First, a stable wooden structure is made onto which large-format polystyrene blocks are glued. Then the desired component geometry is milled out to an undersize of approx. 10 mm using special STYROPOR milling tools. After that, the actual pasting takes place.
