XXL dog figures for big and small
The popular Canadian series PAW Patrol delights pre-school children all over the world. The focus is on the heroic rescue team, which consists of six rescuers on four paws. We were able to create two of these adorable characters as large-format dog figures on behalf of the advertising agency PIE Five Marketing advertising agency: the fearless, clever Skye and the sporty Chase.
First, the dog figures were milled out of polystyrene on a CNC machining center using the CAD files supplied. In order to obtain a hard and weather-resistant surface, the soft polystyrene models were covered with a 2 mm thick GRP layer using the hand laminate process by hand laminating. To create a smooth and even surface, the entire laminate layer had to be sanded and primed.
The graffiti artist BeNeR1 was responsible for painting the dog figures true to the original. Finally, matt clear lacquer was applied to protect the surface.
The beautiful sight of these two friendly dog heroes will not only delight children’s hearts in the end…
