Gentle giant surprises at trade fair
On behalf of 3D Culture we were commissioned to produce an imposing, 4 meter high figure. The gigantic figure was then to cast a spell over visitors to a trade fair.
The production process began with the CNC milling of the individual polystyrene body parts. This allowed the figure to be realized as a basic body according to the 3D data. The individual body parts were glued together in a second step. As the customer later wanted the figure to have an illuminated arm, cable ducts for the electrical installation had to be taken into account.
The polystyrene surface was then given a first coat of sealant. This meant that the giant was ready to be encased in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP). After the finishing work on the surface, it was painted a uniform white according to the customer’s wishes.
The impressive giant then cut an undoubtedly fine figure at the trade fair for five days.
Pictures from production
It took me many years to find such a competent model maker. A full-service company for objects, whether large or small, when it comes to trade fairs, events or out-of-home activities – competence and commitment characterize the company under the management of Jürgen Maicher. I look forward to continuing to work with you.
